Right in the middle of building Max, I went on vacation..for a week..without my hubby. But it was a vacation that had been in the works for many many months before Max had been decided on.
In the middle of March, I went on a girlfriend photo adventure to the East Coast, concentrating on North and South Carolina and this of course included beaches. I had never been in this area of the country before and the views we came across just blew me away.
This post however is all about the coastal areas we stopped at, from Myrtle Beach to the Outer Banks. The sunrises were incredible and the views amazing. But the highlight of the trip was close to the end of our time there. We woke up to about 35 degrees, high winds off the ocean and the promise of a glorious sunrise. We raced to Jeanette’s Pier and waited for the sun to come up and when it did, our jaw dropped! I had never experienced such color and depth. We froze our butts off that morning, but it was worth it.
An Outer Banks camping trip with Stella and Max is now on the bucket list…I’m not sure when, but I look forward to crossing that trip off my list.
