Are you living life or experiencing life? Is there a difference? I think so – I see living life as just existing, going through the motions with no plans for tomorrow, much less the future.
I prefer to experience life. Life is too short – I want to watch the sunrise as it comes up and watch it hit the dew. I want to walk along the beach and look for the best sea shells and watch the crabs scurry off. I want to watch the stars fall from the darkened sky.
We all have friends that have not been able to experience life for one reason or another. Sickness, disability or their life cut short. And it’s then we realize that we ourselves need to wake up and smell the roses. But do we actually do that? Maybe for a while we do and then we go back to the same old routine. There is so much out there to enjoy – stop whatever it is you’re doing, close your eyes and see yourself experiencing life…do what brings you joy and happiness. Don’t be the person that wishes they would have done more.
Take the time to get off that merry go round and find your own joy and happiness. Run through the meadow and enjoy the smell of new opened flowers, take your shoes off and run the beach, dust off that kayak and explore a new lake. But whatever it is – enjoy yourself!
